Murder at Mardi Gras is a murder mystery comedy that features an ensemble of nine hysterically funny, scene-stealing, dysfunctional characters. The plot features a murder-solving, book-writing detective attempting to solve the murder of the wealthy patriarch of the blue-blooded DuPre family on the night of the fictional Krewe of Midas festivities during New Orleans’ famous MardiGrasCarnival. The motley “krewe” of suspects begin revealing secrets and confessions and soon no one is who you think they are. Anyone in the sprawling mansion could have been the culprit, but only one is guilty of murder.

The production is presented by Alabama Regional Theatre and features hilarious performances by actors from community theatre companies from across Northeast Alabama. This performance is made possibly by a grant awarded through the Alabama State Council on the Arts.
