Grace Klein Community is seeking a responsible and reliable Food Rescue Representative to join our team. The Representative will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of goods, primarily food rescued from various sources, and other items as assigned. The ideal candidate should be meticulous in performing basic vehicle checks before and after driving, ensuring proper fueling, and adhering to maintenance schedules for the fleet vehicles.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct basic checks on fleet vehicles before and after driving to ensure they are in proper working condition. Ensure that the vehicle is fueled before and after use. Schedule and oversee required oil changes and other necessary maintenance checks for the fleet vehicles. Transportation: Safely drive fleet vehicles to designated locations for picking up rescued food and other assigned items. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during transportation. Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading goods onto/from the fleet vehicles. Ensure that all items are properly secured for transportation to prevent damage. Communication: Maintain clear communication with the logistics team regarding schedules, pickups, and deliveries. Report any vehicle issues or incidents immediately to the appropriate personnel. Documentation: Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities for each vehicle. Complete any necessary paperwork related to pickups and deliveries. Safety: Prioritize safety at all times, both for oneself and for others on the road. Follow safety protocols and procedures while operating vehicles and handling goods
