About the Role:

Grace Klein Community is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Volunteer and Serve Team Coordinator Assistant to support the Volunteer and Serve Team Coordinator in recruiting, organizing, and managing volunteers and Serve Teams. The Assistant will play a key role in ensuring that our volunteers are engaged, equipped, and empowered to make a positive impact within our community.

Job Responsibilities:

Volunteer Recruitment Support: Assist in implementing strategies to recruit volunteers from diverse backgrounds and skill sets. Support outreach efforts through social media, community events, and volunteer fairs to attract potential volunteers. Collaborate with the Coordinator to promote volunteer opportunities and raise awareness of GKC’s mission. Volunteer Onboarding and Training Assistance: Aid in coordinating orientation sessions and training workshops for new volunteers. Assist in providing resources, materials, and guidance to ensure volunteers are prepared for their roles. Contribute to the maintenance of a volunteer handbook outlining expectations, policies, and procedures. Volunteer Coordination Support: Assist in scheduling volunteers for shifts and assignments based on organizational needs. Help maintain communication with volunteers regarding upcoming opportunities, updates, and appreciation efforts. Support efforts to foster a positive and supportive volunteer environment. Serve Team Support: Assist in cultivating relationships with volunteers and serve team leaders to enhance volunteer engagement. Support the Coordinator in identifying opportunities for specialized serve teams based on program needs. Provide assistance and resources to serve team leaders to ensure effective leadership and coordination. Data Management Assistance: Support the Coordinator in maintaining accurate records of volunteer information, hours contributed, and impact metrics. Assist in generating reports and analytics to evaluate volunteer engagement and program effectiveness.
