The 2023 Application period is now closed.
The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce annually awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors to help them further their education. The 2023 application period opens January 18 and closes April 5. Recipients will be notified prior to May 1 and will be recognized at the chamber’s May 18 Luncheon.
Academic Scholarships
Open to any graduating senior planning to attend a four-year college and who is a resident of Trussville, up to three $1,500 Academic Scholarships will be awarded by the Chamber this year. Of the applicants selected to receive a scholarship, one is awarded the $3,000 TACC Leaders Scholarship.
Awards are based on scholastic achievement, financial need, community and school involvement, a 300- to 400-word essay on an assigned topic, and a possible interview.
Career/Trade School Scholarships
The Chamber will award up to three $1,000 scholarships specifically for graduating seniors planning to attend career or trade school, post-graduation. Applicants must be Trussville residents.
Awards are based on scholastic achievement, financial need, and community and school involvement.
TACC Chamber Champions Scholarship
An applicant for the $3,000 TACC Chamber Champions Scholarship must be a graduating senior planning to attend a four-year college and the child of a parent/guardian who is a member in good standing for the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce.
This scholarship will be awarded based on the parent/guardian’s Chamber involvement and the applicant’s scholastic achievement, financial need, community and school involvement, a 300 to 400-word essay on an assigned topic, and a possible interview.
